(Note. In everyday English, people also say, “We all talk to each other on the phone…”)

One was a novel. Another was a short story. the other was Barack Obama’s autobiography.

4. When you drive in the desert, you may not see car for several miles.

When driving in the desert, you may not see another car for several miles.

5. I have a TV in the living room. I want to buy one so I can watch TV in the bedroom.

… I want to buy another one so I can watch TV in the bedroom.

6. Because of a big argument they had day, Tom and Mario don’t speak to anymore.

Because of a big argument they had the other day, Tom and Mario don’t speak to each other anymore.

(Note. In informal English, many people would also say, “… speak to one another.”)

7. Rita is a terrible driver. She had an accident just week, and she had one again yesterday.

… She had an accident just the other week, and she had another one again yesterday.

8. I’m busy today. Can we meet day.

… Can we meet another day?.

9. We already had a test two weeks ago, but we have today! Will we have a test week in this course?

… we have another today! Will we have a test every other week in this course?

10. [At a clothing store] Do you have these shirts in colors?

Do you have these shirts in other colors?

11. This is not my jacket. one is.

This is not my jacket. The other one is.

12. — I’m still hungry. Let’s order pizza.

— Order one for yourself if you’d like. If I eat slice of pizza, I’ll get sick.
