Learn New Words

Having good vocabulary is important. It facilitates communication when you speak or write and allows you to understand others more effectively.

This is a collection of short vocabulary videos that connects one word to the next through related meaning and word etymologies. The videos are visually compelling to help you stay interested and to understand the meaning of new words more easily.

How Many Words are There?

I cannot tell you how many words this page will have. The plan is to continue producing these vocabulary videos for a long time and cover as many words as possible. (English has a lot of words!)

The preliminary plan includes approximately 250 words and should be completed by the end of 2027 (provided we can publish one video each week).

Consider supporting Snap Language so we can continue producing high-quality materials.

What Is the Best Way to Learn All These Words

Do what works for you. You can watch one video a day or a video a week, or you can binge on them.

You should definitely review the words from time to time as you may start forgetting them.

Even if you see in the video title a word that you already know, you should still watch the video because it may include other words, which you may not know. In addition, vocabulary videos may include interesting facts and etymologies that you were unaware of.

You may want to bookmark this page or email it to yourself so you can return to it in future.
